Neurodiversity Support Group, Tuesdays at 6:30, March 11,18, April 8, 15, 22, 29. Would you like to connect with ogher parents of neurodivergent youth at Horizons? Consider joining us for facilitated discussion and resource sharing. Email kate.bachtel@bvsd.org to register.
Food Drive and Council, Thursday March13th 5:30-7:30. Bring un-expired and non-perishable food to Council for Kaizen Food Share of Denver. If you can't make Council, feel free to drop it off at the front office any time during the month of March. *date change from March 20
Feed the Teachers, Wednesday March 19th, Thursday March 20th, Friday March 21st. Support Horizon’s teachers during Conference Days. Please consider providing food, drinks, and treats to fuel our teachers who are here for long days. Sign up here.
Coffee Connections, Friday April 4th 8:30-10. Join Shara Ogin with Sitting Smarter and Taller through a mind/body somatic Feldenkrais lesson.
PEN Pals Book Club, Friday April 11th 8:30-10. Join your community for a Book Club facilitated with Parenting Engagement Network for the book The Parent Teen Connection: How to Build Lifelong Family Relationships by Susan Caso. The Parent Teen Connection is a wide-ranging guide to understanding and cultivating better relationships with teenagers.
Seed Exchange and Council, Thursday April 17th 5:30-7. Bring your extra seed packets and pick up some new varieties you haven't tried yet then stay and enjoy Council.
Spirit Week, April 21st-25th. Get ready to get your Horizons Hawks spirit on! More details to come.
Auction and Gala, Saturday, April 26th. @ The Embassy Suites Hotel. Leave the kids at home and enjoy a night of music and libations at Horizons annual fundraiser. Enjoy an amazing raffle, silent auction, teacher experience drawings, and paddle raisers. This event raises money for our unique programming. Get your tickets now!
